Lemonade V. Red | Different Fiascos

I really did not want to compare, or write about it, BUT I just had to. It will be short and painless. I promise ooooooh.

Ok, for the record I believe the Lemonade album went over a lot of heads and has been overshadowed by a lot of nonsense [whew that was a mouthful]. Seems like people rather relish in assumptions and drama than grasp all the cultural references and movements in the album. She [Bey] is keeping mum while she takes it all to the bank and everyone pay 83747392928292929373839 dollars for her tour,  mmkay? Smart business move? Well, what do you think?

Now, Tiwa… my jaleesa.. Tiwaaaaaa [I think I saw this coming from 6,000 miles away sha]. I do not even know what is the reason for the tell all, but why not just leave and deal with the questions later? Is this to boost sales [ I definitely did not enjoy Red] or…. wetin? I don’t get it, I could not watch the full video… but WHY? Make an album of heartbreak, write a semi vague book, something other than this interview. *turns video off*
POST Scriptum… that “My mom is so British” comment… smh

If you have 45mins to spare [should have been an album] here is the link to her [Tiwa]’s interview

Now I feel for any woman [any hurt in any relationship man or woman]that have gone through such pain, it hurts. HOWEVER, people in the public eye do not owe the public any explanation. I mean hey… Beyonce gave me lemons… tiwa gave me a painful interview. *cues drake’s views album*

What are your thoughts?  I really am interested. *grabs groundnut*

Shake Shack vs In n Out

Ok, so everyone knows that I am from LA and a bonafide In n Out Burger lover (i mean… as soon as I land at home… I go straight to the place before ANYTHING). So when I heard all the hype about shake shack (I am a transplant living in DC) and how it will rival In n Out Burger in California, I got hella salty…. like reaalllyyyy salty. So, I decided I might as well go to Shake Shack with my friends (also coworkers to make sure my bias was in check) and see what all the hype was…. and it was just THAT… HYPE! Let me explain…

There was no secret menu, nothing extra, just chicken, burger, or veggie. The fries were just regular ol crinkle fries with the option for cheese sauce and bacon…. dassit! They have concretes (picture a mcflurry, but BETTER), sundaes, fresh lemonades (that I did not fancy), wines and beers… dassit!!!! The burger had some kind of smoked pepper added to it, but again nothing too major. I was really thinking “Did I miss something?  This is the hype?!”. That is where my coworker/friends came in that have not experienced In n Out Burger, and they too were not impressed (phew!). I can say that the service was impeccable and the set up was cute… but Shake Shack should not even be compared to my beloved- In n Out Burger… Thank you.

So please let me know… how was your Shake Shack experience and do you agree that it is better than In n Out? Let me know what I am possibly missing overall!

Slight Post Scriptum,

Will have the top ten burger joints in DC within a week!

Happy New Year! Woot!

Ok, so I am about four months late, but this is the first post of the new year, so cut me some slack [Please and thanks]. I already broke about 3 of my new year’s resolutions, so that tells me that I should stop making them. I would also ask the corny question of “what was/is your new year’s resolution?”, but again I am waaaayyyy overdue. There were a few changes to the blog and will be more changes but all for the better. This is my baby and is slowly evolving along with a few more projects brewing up, so sit tight.. I promise this wont bite (corny, but hey it rhymed!). Hope all is well for everyone, give me a shout in the comments if you like!
